This policy explains what information the Wordbloom word search game ("Wordbloom", "the game", "we") uses, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android app distributed on Google Play.

1. Summary

  • Wordbloom has no accounts, no sign-in and no analytics service of its own.
  • Your progress and settings are stored only on your device.
  • The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device information to show and measure ads, as described in section 4.
  • Premium is an optional one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information stored on your device

The game saves the following locally on your phone so you can continue where you left off:

  • Game progress: levels completed, stars, coins, words found, unfinished puzzles, daily streak and daily gift progress.
  • Items you unlock: stickers, board themes, letter styles and Pip outfits.
  • Settings: sound, music, vibration, reduced motion, high-contrast letters and the daily reminder switch.
  • The age range you select (Under 13, 13-17 or 18 and older). We never ask for your date of birth.
  • Advertising bookkeeping: rewards you earned from optional ads and how often ads were shown, so ads stay limited.
  • If you buy Premium: a copy of the purchase receipt signed by Google Play, so Premium keeps working offline.

This information is not sent to us. It stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Android cloud backup is turned off for the game, so this information is not copied to backup servers by the game.

3. Information we do not collect

Wordbloom does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files or phone calls. We do not run our own servers, analytics or crash-reporting services, and we have no way to identify you.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Wordbloom uses Google AdMob to show:

  • optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch (for example, for an extra hint, extra time or bonus coins), and
  • occasional full-screen ads between completed puzzles.

To show, measure and protect ads from fraud, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as:

  • your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers,
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it,
  • device and app information (model, operating system, language),
  • ad interactions and app usage needed for advertising, and
  • diagnostics such as crash and performance data of the ads SDK.

Google acts under its own privacy policy. Learn more:

Your choices:

  • Consent: where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the game asks for your consent using Google's consent tool before ads are requested. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings > Advertising & privacy.
  • Age: if you select "Under 13", advertising is turned off in the game. If you select 13-17, ads are requested as non-personalized, with tags for users under the age of consent and family-friendly content limits.
  • Device settings: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).
  • Premium removes all ads in the game.

5. In-app purchase (Google Play Billing)

Wordbloom Premium is an optional one-time purchase. Payment is processed by Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only the information needed to confirm and restore your purchase (such as the product, the purchase status and a purchase token). We never receive your card number, billing address or other payment details. You can restore Premium on another device signed in with the same Google account using Settings > Restore purchases.

6. Notifications

If you turn on Settings > Daily puzzle reminder, the game schedules a local reminder on your device for the evening. It is created by the app on your phone; no notification server is involved and no information is sent anywhere. You can turn it off in the game or in your Android notification settings at any time.

7. Sharing your results

When you tap "Share result" after a Daily Challenge, Android's share menu opens with a short text summary of your result (for example, stars, time and streak). Nothing is shared unless you choose an app and send it yourself.

8. Children

Wordbloom is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a player selects "Under 13", the game turns advertising off. If you believe a child has used the game with ads enabled, you can select "Under 13" in Settings > Advertising & privacy > Update age range, or contact us at the address below.

9. Data retention and deletion

Because game data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling Wordbloom. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained under Google's policies; you can manage it through your Google account and device settings as described in section 4.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal information (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 or US state privacy laws). Since we do not hold personal information about you on our own systems, most requests can be fulfilled through the device and Google settings above. You can also contact us and we will help.

11. Security

Game data stays on your device and is protected by Android's app sandbox. Purchase receipts are checked against Google Play's digital signature before Premium is unlocked.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the game changes. The updated version will be posted at the same address with a new effective date.
